Melody Carey is a Chicagoland-born, San Francisco-based photographer and award-winning filmmaker. She currently work as freelance photographer and as a producer, director, writer, and assistant camera for narrative films, TV, and virtual event production.

 

She has been interested in photography and filmmaking since she was a child and, as a young adult, developed a passion for using visual mediums as a vehicle for positive impact and change. In this vein, she's excited to share more about her current project, "The Phoenix”, a short film she's producing about a little girl's journey to finding her inner strength, which you can learn more about here. She's also an alumna of UC Berkeley and Delta Kappa Alpha, a national professional cinema fraternity.
